- Rotate cushions when possible to promote even wear
- Clean spills promptly
- Use only recommended cleaning methods
- Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, solvents, or abrasive cleaners

Routine Cleaning
A simple weekly care routine helps reduce dust, debris, and everyday buildup.
For fabric upholstery:
- Vacuum weekly using a soft brush attachment
- Pay attention to crevices, seams, and cushion edges
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth
For leather upholstery:
- Dust weekly with a soft, dry cloth
- Blot spills immediately
- Keep leather away from direct sunlight, heat, and excessive humidity
- Depending on the leather type, leather may benefit from approved conditioning every 6–12 months
For synthetic fabrics:
- Use a soft cloth, microfiber duster, or vacuum with a soft brush attachment
- Avoid abrasive brushes or harsh household cleaners
Before Cleaning
Before using any cleaning method:
- Vacuum the surface and crevices first
- Check the product care label, if available
- Test the cleaner on a hidden area
- Use the least amount of moisture possible
- Blot gently; do not rub or scrub
- Keep the room ventilated
- Allow the area to dry completely before use
Do not:

To care for OONNO leather:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth
- Keep leather away from direct sunlight and heat sources
- Avoid excessive humidity or dryness
- Use leather care products only if approved for your leather type

Natural Leather Characteristics
The following are natural leather characteristics and are not considered defects:
- Grain variation
- Natural markings
- Light scars
- Wrinkles

Cushion and Fill Care
Cushions and fillings naturally soften with use.
To help maintain shape:
- Rotate cushions where possible
- Fluff loose cushions regularly
- Avoid standing or jumping on cushions
- Avoid placing heavy objects on cushions for extended periods
- Allow compressed cushions time to recover after shipping
Normal cushion settling, wrinkles, and comfort changes from everyday use are not considered manufacturing defects.
If your cushion covers are removable, check the care label before washing.
Only machine wash covers if the care label clearly states that machine washing is safe.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach, or iron covers unless the care label confirms it is safe.
For covers without clear washing instructions, professional cleaning is recommended.
Wood and Metal Care
For wood and metal components:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth
- Wipe spills immediately
- Use coasters and mats to prevent heat or water marks
- Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive pads
- Keep away from prolonged moisture
- Tighten hardware periodically if needed
Natural wood grain, knots, tone variation, and texture differences are part of the material and are not considered defects.
Pet Household Guidance
If you share your home with pets:
- Trim pet nails regularly
- Use throws or protective covers in high-use areas
- Vacuum pet hair frequently
- Clean accidents immediately
- Avoid allowing pets to scratch, bite, or chew upholstery
Pet Hair and Lint
For pet hair, lint, or dust buildup, use a lint roller, soft upholstery brush, or vacuum with a fabric-safe attachment.
Avoid strong adhesive tapes, abrasive tools, or rough brushes that may damage the fabric surface.
Pet damage, including scratches, punctures, chewing, stains, and odors, is not covered by the OONNO Limited Warranty.
Sunlight, Heat, and Humidity
Direct sunlight, heat, and humidity may affect fabric, leather, wood, and foam over time.
To reduce environmental damage:
- Use window treatments in rooms with strong sunlight
- Keep furniture away from heating vents and fireplaces
- Maintain stable indoor humidity where possible
- Avoid storing furniture in damp or unconditioned spaces
For high-use furniture, professional cleaning may be helpful once a year or as needed.
Professional cleaning is especially recommended for:
- Deep stains
- Wine, ink, grease, or pet accidents
- Large upholstered pieces
- Materials with unclear care instructions
- Customers who are unsure which cleaning method is safe
Always choose a cleaner experienced with upholstery or leather furniture.
